Zygarde Complete forme is the most durable Pokémon in Regulation M-A, and its entire game plan is built around that durability. With the Aura Break or Power Construct-style bulk, its complete forme is designed to outlast opposing restricted Pokémon, chip them down with Thousand Arrows and clean up the endgame through attrition. It is the format's premier answer to setup sweepers that need to accumulate boosts to win, because it can simply absorb their hits and punish them. Its main problem is the opposite side of the coin: it is not a fast win condition, so against teams that build for speed and tempo it can be played around, and its Dragon/Ground typing invites the Ice and Fairy coverage that the format carries in abundance. Its offensive output without setup is modest, which means the teams built around it need a secondary win condition. Use it as the defensive anchor that holds a team together while a partner sweeps, and pair it with a partner that handles the Ice-types and Fairy-types it cannot. In the right structure it is one of the safest restricted picks in the format.
